Commemorative spoon
This spoon is too fragile for use, and was presumably designed as cheap souvenir to commemorate a coronation; probably Charles II ( 23rd April 1661). The earliest known full-sized functional spoons with relief-cast Royal portraits are those with the conjoined heads of William and Mary which presumbably date from their coronation in 1688. .
