A copper alloy as coin struck by the Emperor Tiberius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 14-37, to commemorate the divine Augustus, ruler of the Roman Empire, 31 BC-AD 14. The back of the coin depicts an altar. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 14-37.
Obv: Radiate head of Augustus, facing left. Obv inscription: DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER. Rev: An altar with a panelled door. Rev inscription: PROVIDENT, SC in field.
