Plate
Pewter plate, with the rim engraved with an armorial blazon: a shield bendy a six charged with a lion, rampant; the whole enclosed by an elaborate mantling. Also on the front of the rim is a set of four hallmarks incorporating the initials ‘W.H.’ and on the back there is a faint touch in a beaded circle of an armillary sphere with inscriptions ‘WILLIAM’ and ‘HALL’ above and below, the mark of William Hall, of St Stephen’s, Coleman Street, London, OP 2094, LTP 128. Hall was active from 1660 to c. 1702.
