Saxon & Medieval — Late Medieval; 15th century
Heart
Openwork pewter badge with moulded openwork decoration in the shape of a heart, dated to the late medieval period. It was found on the Thames foreshore. Possibly part of a rattle, although smaller than published examples (see Spenser, 1998, 209), therefore possibly just an openwork mount of some kind.
