Bacchus
Copper alloy mount from an iron tripod. Bust of Bacchus or a bacchante set on a square hollow base; the bust is set within a calyx of acanthus springing from the base, which is decorated on three sides with horizontal mouldings. The head which gazes to the left (facing) is youthful, with flowing hair surmounted by a diadem; the features are well defined, the eyes inlaid in contrasting silver.
Bacchus was a god of wine and guardian of the eternal souls of the dead
