Cloth seal, two-part cloth seal
This seal was used to fasten a bale of cloth imported from the Low Countries. On one side is the merchant's name, Florent Berthoult, probably of Dutch or Flemish origin. Dutch and Flemish migrants helped to develop London's textile industries.
