A two disc, double rivet seal of the Colchester Dutch community. This rivet disc is stamped with a shield with 15 71 to sides and bearing three crowns, DVYTS COLCHESTER 100 CRONE around. The rove disc side is stamped with a faint impression of a griffin. The date refers to the year in which the Dutch-community in Colchester established their textile manufacture on a properly regulated basis.
