The St George and Dragon
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at The George, in Greenwich, Kent.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference Kent number 317; Obv inscription: AT.THE.GORGE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = St George and the dragon (in field); Rev inscription: IN.GRENEWICH (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.B (in field, in Roman capitals).
Greenwihch formed part of Kent until 1889, it is now part of the London Borough of Greenwich.
