The Three Sugar Loaves
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business at the sign of the Three Sugar Loaves in East Smithfield, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 908; Obv inscription: AT.THE.3.SVGAR.LOVES (around field, in Roman capitals) = Three sugar loaves braced (in field); Rev inscription: IN.EAST.SMITHFEILD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.A.C. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
