Copper, copper alloy, mount, military-type mount
Hexagonal copper-alloy vulvate mount with a central projecting boss of the type usually identified as representing the female pudenda. Two disc headed shanks project from the back for attachement, probably to a leather belt.
This is a common form in the 2nd century and there are both British and German examples. It often has a projecting loop for the attachment of a pendant.
