Sample, loose sample of cinnamon quill
Sample of cinnamon quills imported through the East India Docks from south east Asia. In the 18th century the English East India Company had its own cinnamon plantations on the Malabar coast of South west India. Cinnamon is mainly used for culinary purposes.
