Coin, aureus
A gold aureus coin of Emperor Tiberius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 14-37. The back of the coin depicts Tiberius. This coin was minted in Lugdunum (modern day Lyon, France), AD 15-16.
Obv: Laureate head of Tiberius, facing right. Obv inscription: TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS. Rev: Tiberius in a quadriga, advancing right, holding a laurel branch in his right hand and a sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: TR POT XVII, IMP VII in exergue.
