Ring, finger ring
A gold finger ring, with a thin carinated hoop and oval bezel. The letters 'A P D', which probably stand for the three names (tria nomina) of the owner and imply Roman citizenship, are inscribed in reverse so that the ring could be used as a seal.
The ring form is typical of the 3rd century AD (Henig 1978, 35, fig 1, VIII and 38).
