Tin-glazed earthenware medallion floor tile decorated in blue, green and ochre with a checker pattern on a buff glaze within concentric circle and blue trefoils in each corner. Medallion tiles with figurative and animal subjects were popular in the Low Countries and London. This tile was made in the Pickleherring factory in Southwark.
