Puritan spoon
A tin and lead alloy spoon of 'puritan' type with oval (regular ellipse) bowl, flattened stem which increases in width from the bowl to the tip; the end straight with a vertical nicks or notches on the upper face. Within the bowl is a punch shield of arms 'beaded' bearing two escallop shells divided by a bar sinister.
