Post-Medieval — 17th century
Porringer, miniature porringer
Miniature porringer with a single ear of cast openwork incorporating a king’s head, crowned, with long hair and beard, scrolling ‘ropework’ and a suspension loop. The rim flange and bowl have decorative hatching and the flat base has been turned. No marks.
The similarities between this vessel and No. 8128, suggests that this porringer was also made by John Jackson.
