Handle, rectangular drop handle
Cast rectangular copper-alloy handle in the form of two opposed dolphins holding a circular object (?shell) between them; the tail of one dolphin forms the rectangular suspension loop and ends in a fin-shaped terminal, the other is missing as the handle is broken mid way across the body of the second dolphin.
The dolphins are very stylised and angular, with deeply notched bands, probably representing fins below their bodies; angular snouts and eyes shown by deep dots and circles. The back of the object is flat and is probably from a box or other item of furniture.
