Watercolour signed by R. L. 72 of John Birnie Philips at work on the Albert Memorial. He is working inside a covered structure, specially constructed for the work, carving the frieze of artists (C17th panel) on the lower pediment. There are two workmen, in overalls at work on the stone, while the artist in daywear gives them orders/ discusses the work. Possibly by R. Langer.
