Lamp, picture lamp
Incomplete type 4 ceramic picture lamp, nozzle and body fragments, three joining pieces of nozzle, shoulder and discus and one non-joining piece of base. Rounded nozzle with volute mouldings; one slit air hole positioned off-centre between the mouldings; patchy sooting around the wick hole. The body has a slightly concave shoulder decorated with three concentric grooves at the border of the concave discus; the discus has a complete well-moulded design in relief, two symmetrical dolphins; one large oil-filling hole is positioned centrally between the dolphins; several relief pellets on shoulder and discus, possibly flaws in the mould; trace of the flat base defined by a groove. These fragments join with CO88[6289]<1143> and CO88[6297]<1172>.
