Shops, North of Cheapside
Drawing of a line of shops and a London Plane Tree on the north of Cheapside at the corner of Wood Street; with shop signs for 'Music Warehouse, Piano Fortes Show Room' & 'F, Passmore, Stationers and Printer'. The tree bacame notable as a local landmark in the late 19th century. The sign for F. Passmore hints at this; advertising itself as 'UNDER THE TREE'.
