Alfred Edward Woodley Mason
Harry Furniss worked as an artist in Ireland before moving to London in 1876 where he worked at the Illustrated London News and Punch, among others. His drawings were very popular and he ilustrated many books.
This drawing portrays Alfred Edward Woodley Mason (1865-1948) who was a celebrated author and politician. He is best remembered for his 1902 novel The Four Feathers.
