Lamp, picture lamp
Incomplete probable type 4 ceramic picture lamp, missing part of the nozzle and the body, in three joining pieces. Nozzle with volute mouldings; pierced slit air hole between the mouldings; trace of wick hole but mostly missing and broken. About two thirds of the body survives. Slightly concave shoulder decorated with three concentric grooves around a concave discus with complete, clearly moulded design, lion running left; circular oil-filling hole below the lion and slightly to the left; flat circular base defined by a groove. No handle. Lyon colour-coated ware (LYON).
