Scabbard
One of two fragments from a sword scabbard. The front is plan with two vertical ridges running down its length. These are formed by a pair of impressed lines. There is a centre seam at the back with flesh/grain stitch holes. Two suspension slots near the top have been cut and torn through. There are the thread impressions from whip stitching around the top edge. Leather is heavily weathered and cracked.
