Part of a decorated samian bowl, form Dragendorff 30, made in one of the potteries in South Gaul. It is in an early style, with ovolo decoration, and moniliform tendril bindings, and lanceolate decoration. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
