Bowl
Part of a decorated samian ware bowl, form Dragendorff 30, made at Lezoux, Central Gaul. Decorated with panel dsign including infilled festoons. The bowl has been repaired in Roman times by removing small sections of the pot either side of a break so molten lead could be poured to make a rivet. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
