Part of a decorated samian ware bowl, form Dragendroff 29, stamp: OFSEVE inside base, the mark of the potter Severus of South Gaul. Decorative motif includes a wheatsheaf scroll, on lower zone. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire. See Knorr, 1952, 16C.
