Archaeology — 19th century
Mug
This transfer-printed whiteware mug was found on an archaeological excavation in Church Street, Isleworth, close to Kew Gardens. The mug is decorated in blue with a scene of an old man leaning on a stick and walking with the support of a young woman who is holding his arm. Their dog walks on a lead in front of them. There is a field, trees and a church in the background.
