Post-Medieval — Mid 16th century
Quiver, arrow spacer
Leather arrow spacer for the top of a quiver. Has holes for 25 arrows. Each hole has a triangular nick in the side. This leather disc was used at the top of the quiver to keep the arrow shafts apart to prevent damage to the feathers. Skilled longbow archers could shoot 24 arrows in 2 minutes over a range of 220 metres (240 yards) and beyond.
