The Gigantic Wheel
Brown cardboard model of the 'The Gigantic Wheel' at Earls Court. The model was sold in 'kit form' in a box to be assembled at home. The production of such souvenirs reflects the enormous popularity of this visitor attraction built in 1894 within the Earls Court Exhibition grounds. The model includes many of the features of the actual wheel including accurate replicas of the 40 cars that each carried up to 30 passengers.
