Sign, Camberwell Resettlement Centre
This sign was collected from the Camberwell Resettlement Centre, Peckham. Nicknamed "the Spike" the Centre housed the homeless from the mid 19th Century until its closure in 1985. It was one of the largest hostels for homeless men in London, offering shelter for up to 1,100 each night.
