Plate
A plate with four crisply punched hallmarks on the front of the rim including the initials ‘T.L’ and the base has been struck with the oval touch of a rampant lion on a torse with ‘THOMAS’ and ‘LANYON’ above and below, the mark of Thomas Lanyon, of St Nicholas, Bristol, OP2843. Lanyon was active from c.1715 to 1755.
