Plate
A pewter plate with a plain, narrow rim, shallow well and flat base. The rim has been struck with three equally spaced house marks depicting a woman's head, in profile to left, flanked by the initials ‘W’ and ‘B’ in a beaded circle. There is a crowned ‘X’ touch and an inscription ‘Sjs Inn/C+L’ (presumably Serjeant’s Inn, Chancery Lane). Date: probably 18th century
