Coin, nummus AE2
A copper alloy nummus of the House of Constantine, the ruling dynasty of the Roman Empire, AD 305-363. The back of the coin depicts Sol, the Roman sun god. This coin was minted in Londinium (modern day London), c. AD 310.
Obv: Head, facing right. Obv inscription: Illegible. Rev: Sol, advancing left, holding a globe in his right hand and a whip in the left. Rev inscription: [SOLI INVICTO] COMITI, TF in field, PLN in exergue.
