Pottery, vessel, dish
A black-burnished-style dish or bowl with rounded rim, possibly in Thameside Kent ware, repaired from sherds with some fragments missing. The dish is distorted, has a reddish surface and is slightly abraded.
This bowl was used as a lid to the primary vessel (MST87[258]<98>) of a cremation (CB175) and formed part of a cremation group. From the Roman cemetery at Tower Hamlets, London E1.
