Pottery, vessel, flask
A complete large flask in Alice Holt/Farnham ware (AHFA 2R). It has a thin rouletted strip of decoration around the neck, is fired unevenly and is burnt on the upper body.
It formed part of a cremation group (CB195). From the Roman cemetery at Tower Hamlets, London E1.
This vessel would probably have contained food for the spirits journey through the afterlife.
