Part of a decorated samian bowl, form Dragendorff 37 made in one of the potteries in South Gaul. The decoration is in Pompeiian style pf panels including medallions containing winged figures, and panels of animal figures, with a basal wreath. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
