The White Horse
Robert Beckitt issue this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in White Horse Street, in Stepney, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3495A; Obv inscription: R[ ]BECKITT.IN.WHITE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horse 1668 (date below sign, in field); Rev inscription: STREETE / IN.STEPNY / HIS. HALF / PENNY / R.I.B. (in five lines of Roman capitals, in field); heart-shaped.
