The Sun
Edward Fish issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Sun, in Wapping, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3296; Obv inscription: EDWARD.FISH.AT (around field, in Roman capitals, in field) Device = The sun with a face in centre (in field); Rev inscription: THE.SVNN.IN.WAPIN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.F (initials in Roman, in field).
