The Trumpet
This trade token, worth a half penny, was issued for a business at Trump Alley, Cheapside.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 598; Obv inscription: WILLIAM.SHARPE.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A trumpeter on horseback sounding a charge (in field); Rev inscription: TRVMP.ALEY.CHEAP.SIDE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
