Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1836; Obv inscription: IOHN.ROSE.IN.TOKEN.HOVS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A sugar-loaf and I.E.R. (triad of initials in Roman capital around sign, in field); Rev inscription: YARD.IN.LOTHBVRY (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A / CLOTH / WORKER (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
