The Bull's Head
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business at the sign of the Bull's Head, in Thames Street (now Upper Thames Street and Lower Thames Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3098; Obv inscription: AT.THE.BVLL.HEAD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A bull's head (in field); Rev inscription: IN.THEMS.STRETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A sun and a hand W.K.H. (triad of initials in Roman capitals with signs below, in field).
