The Three Tobacco Pipes
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business at the sign of the 3Tobacco Pipes, in Tooley Street, Southwark.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Southwark number 427; Obv inscription: AT.3.TOBACCO.PIPES (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three tobacco pipes (in field); Rev inscription: IN.S.OLIVES.STREETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A clove M.C (initials in Roman capitals with sign above, in field).
