The Red Cow
William Roxin issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Red Cow, in Milk Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1904; Obv inscription: WILLIAM.RIXON.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A cow (in field); Rev inscription: RED.COW.IN.MILKE.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY / TOKEN (in four lines of Roman capitals, in field).
