Edmond Dobson issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at Limehouse Corner, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1891) reference Middlesex number 138; Obv inscription: EDMOND.DOBSON.1667 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: AT.LYME.HOVSE.CORNER (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.D (in field, in Roman capitals).
