The Jerusalem
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business in Jerusalem Alley, off Gracechurch Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1561; Obv inscription: SINE.IERVSALEM.ALLE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A view of Jerusalem (in field); Rev inscription: IN.GRATIOVS STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.E.A. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
