Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1283; Obv inscription: ROGER.FOSSETT (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A crane (in field); Rev inscription: IN.GRVB.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = R.M.F. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Grub Street (now Milton Street), lay in the ward of Farringdon Without, in the City of London and the district of Finsbury, Middlesex. Milton Street now lies within Coleman Street Ward, in the City of London.
