The Rainbow
James Farr issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business, the Rainbow Coffee house, in Fleet Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1074. Obv inscription: IAMES.FARR.1666 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A rainbow (in field); Rev inscription: IN.FLEET.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
