Edward Betteris issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Old Fish Street (now Knightrider Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2137; Obv inscription: EDWARD.BETTERIS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A unicorn (in field); Rev inscription: OVLD.FISH.STREETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
