Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2603; Obv inscription: FRANCIS.CLARKE.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field) Rev inscription: ST.KATHERNS.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three tobacco rolls (in field).
St Katherine's Lane, lay in Stepney, Middlesex, in the area now covered by St Katherine's Docks, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
