The Horse and Cart
Thomas Hockwell issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in St Katherine's Dock, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2616; Obv inscription: THOMAS.HOCK.WELL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horse and cart (in field); Rev inscription: IN.S.KAT.TERENS.DOCK (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.B.H. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
